Hot Topics in Cirrhosis

Target Audience:
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of gastroenterologists involved in the management of patients with common complications of cirrhosis, such as hepatic encephalopathy (HE), thrombocytopenia, and hepatorenal syndrome (HRS).

Statement of Need 
The Hot Topics in Cirrhosis series will deliver focused, educational updates highlighting clinically relevant advances in the management of patients with the complications of cirrhosis via 20 meetings throughout the United States.

Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Recognize the signs of complications caused by cirrhosis and the impact of current therapeutic interventions
  • Describe evolving patient management strategies for patients with cirrhosis
  • Apply the latest evidence-based treatment strategies to optimize outcomes for patients with cirrhosis
