What is Vemlidy?
VEMLIDY is a prescription medication used to treat adults with chronic hepatitis B (HBV) who
have stable (compensated) liver disease.
VEMLIDY can help reduce the amount of HBV in your body and may improve your liver health.
Does Vemlidy cure HepB?
While Vemlidy cannot cure Hep B, it does help manage the virus by lowering the amount of HBV
in the body and can improve liver health. It is important to continue taking VEMLIDY as
prescribed and to discuss your long-term treatment plan with your healthcare provider.
How does Vemlidy work?
VEMLIDY is designed to travel to the liver before becoming active. Once it reaches the liver,
most of the medication is activated within the liver cells. It works directly in these cells, where
the hepatitis B virus is located, helping to lower the amount of the virus and improve liver
function.
Is Vemlidy right for you?
